DWR’s markets are two-fold. The first encompasses the sources of MSW and includes:

  • Municipalities striving to reduce residual waste going to landfill disposal, and looking for an environmentally sound, economical and sustainable alternative to both landfill and competing waste treatment technologies and processes.

  • Waste haulers wanting competitive tipping fees and to avoid troublesome cross-border issues, and for whom the ability to market high diversion performance to waste generators is an attractive service option.

The second is the markets for the by-products produced by the SCP process:

  • Traditional recyclables:

    • Steel

    • Aluminum

    • Glass

    • PET #1

    • Plastic agglomerates

  • Cellulosic biomass – applications include:

    • Building products/composite lumber

    • And in the future, process engineered fuels (PEF) and ethanol

Certain markets are already well established. DWR will continue to explore other potential applications and markets.
