DWR’s markets are two-fold. The first encompasses the sources of MSW and includes:
Municipalities striving to reduce residual waste going to landfill disposal, and looking for an environmentally sound, economical and sustainable alternative to both landfill and competing waste treatment technologies and processes.
Waste haulers wanting competitive tipping fees and to avoid troublesome cross-border issues, and for whom the ability to market high diversion performance to waste generators is an attractive service option.
The second is the markets for the by-products produced by the SCP process:
Traditional recyclables:
Steel
Aluminum
Glass
PET #1
Plastic agglomerates
Cellulosic biomass – applications include:
Building products/composite lumber
And in the future, process engineered fuels (PEF) and ethanol
Certain markets are already well established. DWR will continue to explore other potential applications and markets.
